Anything and Everything
This is a letter that my wife Michelle received from a US Soldier via E-mail. His name is Jeremiah Hamilton and apparently his wife's name is Michelle. Pretty funny. He sent 2 of them to her. I posted both letters and her response...Anyone think I should get suspicious?
We finished the poker table just in time for the game we had planned for Saturday night. People showed up around 7:00. The girls went to Decatur to hit some of the local bars while the guys stayed at my place to throw some chips around. I started off very slow, losing over half of my chips before the girls even left the building. I built back up to just above even. After many more beers and one heckuva crown and ginger, I lost it all. I should learn from this to not drink so much while playing poker. We had a huge game, 10 people total. Pics below.

We finished up on the Rail tonight. It was much harder than anticipated. Pulling and stretching the vinyl, then stapling it down. We got it done though. Its looks pretty nice for our first one. Pics below.

Pics of the poker table build.

We finished up the cuts for the main table, got the rail measured and Andy cut it out last night. I had to leave the build early to go see my new nephew. I have gathered all the materials though. I decided on using headliner fabric that is used on cars for the padding under the main table. If we can finish the cuts tonight, we should be able to start on upholstering the table. I took some pictures, I will upload them later.
Andy and I started constructing a poker table this week. It will be a Texas hold'em style table with red felt and a black rail on it. I hope to get a black "G" but in the middle. Maybe Justin can help me out with that. We bought all the materials and got the table ready to build. We made some measurements and then did the first cut last night. I will take my camera over to the top secret location to get some shots of the progress. Since I do not consider myself to be a carpenter, this is kind of a scary task. I spent a good bit of money on the wood and supplies, so if I screw it up I will be out a chunk of change. Anyway...I will keep you posted on the build.
