Free Day

Well today is the free day for the week. I weighed this morning and I have lost 3.5 pounds so far. I am at 197.5. Michelle finally got home from her 2 week trip to California. Nothing really to talk about today. Michelle is going to start the diet with me, helps to have company when working out. later

Buuurrrrrrrr

It pretty dang cold in the ATL right now. Ice storm came through last ngiht and pretty much left people stuck in their homes. Michelle is stuck in California, her flight got canceled, so our reunion must wait another day. I have found that it is harder to stay strict on this diet over the weekend. During the week everything is scheduled, get up at 7:00...go to work....etc..This morning I got up around 11:00 and havent done much all day. Although I have not eaten anything bad, I am not eating my scheduled meals. I had a MRB for breakfast and some nuts for a snack. I am about to go run on the treadmill since I can't get out of the house to go to LA Fitness, probably just lay around and watch some TV and play some Half Life 2. I weight first thing in the morning. anxious to see if I have made any progress. I got some pics of Tater running around in the ice/snow. I will post them shortly.

Day 5 of 84

Upper body is pretty sore today. My cardio session went well last night, I did the eliptical machine for 20 minutes, increasing the resistance up from lvl 5 to lvl 10. I am pretty sure I did not get a 10 for intensity even though it was on lvl 10 resistance. They were having Customer appreciation day at the LA Fitness in Tucker. They kept comign over the loud speaker tempting us with girl scout cookies and other items I am trying to avoid, I personally saw 5 ladies hop up off their machines and make a mad dash to the front entrance. What are they trying to do to us? They know we are trying to lose weight, and tempting us with cookies....anyway. They also had various other vendors thre for the appreciation day, to me it was more like lets see what else we can sell our members day. They had CPA firms there, vitamin people, message thereapist, not what I was expecting. MY wife comes home tomorrow from her 2 week trip to California. She plans to jump on the 12 week challenge with me as well. I will weigh myself Sunday morning, I dont expect much loss if any at all. Although the protein is getting to me...protein shits = stank ass house.

I went to GNC yesterday to return some protein powder I bought the day before. I expected nothing more than to walk in and return my powder when low and behold before I knew it I was walking out with some creation from God that is supposed to make me lose all they weight I want by popping 6 pills a day, i was sold.

Day 4

Ok, we are to day number 4 out of 84. eighty days to go...11 weeks sounds better. I ordered some wierd protien things that Doney suggested. I will replace one of my snacks with this graham cracker flavored frothy shake. I got 10 bucks that says it is terrible, although Doney says it is good. 51 grams of protein a drink though....thats nice. I did an upperbody workout last night. My left arm is obvisouly weaker than my right. I had a good workout though, I got one 10 effort outta the whole bunch. I have another cardio session today, I am going to try either running or the eliptical. My legs were absolutely killin me yesterday. Especially my hamstring. I haven't gotten back on the scale since Sunday, i am goin to try and only weigh once a week. Andy suggested I cook some turkey joes for dinner last night....they were excellent. Ground turkey, bar-b-que sauce, and some jalapenos al mixed together server on a bun. Very tasty.

Trying to fix FTP transfer to my domain

I have been trying to get this site transfered to my own domain, http://www.valarious.com but I am not having much luck right now. I was about to pull my hair out when poppy told me that the DNS servers probably had not been updated yet. So that makes me feel a little better. Anyway....on to day 3....

I did my first High Point Cardio session last night. WOW...My legs are killin me. That 20 min session got me worse than anything else I have ever done. I could not hit a high point of Intensity lvl 10, I got to 9, but once I was supposed to crank it up a notch, i went down to an 8. Basically this was how I did it.

Lvl 5 intensity 2 mins - set bike to lvl 5 and pedal around 90 RPM, lvl 6 I moved the lvl up to 6 on bike and pedaled between 95 and 100 RPM, lvl 7 I went from 100 to 110, lvl 8 was 110 to 115, and lvl 9 was above 115 RPM. 115 RPM is going pretty dang fast, once I was down to my last 3 mins I was about to hit for lvl 10, just couldn't do it. went back down to lvl 8. Anyway, I am very impressed with the cardio workout for now. I am heading back today to get in an upperbody workout, Almost didn't make breakfast this morning, I slept a little later than I would have liked, but I got up and cooked the egg mcmuffin again, which was not that good today, all the egg didnt get cooked so it was slimey. I threw away some of the egg but ate the english muffin.

The 12 week weight loss challenge begins

Ok, so I got marrired and I got fat....I broke the 200 lbs mark and am fed up with it. i am dedicating myseld to the next 12 weeks. My goal is to lose 25 lbs to get back around 175. I am excited about this program and can't wait to hit the gym. basically I am going to throw out the old eating habits, get off the damn couch and start getting back into shape. I have taken some before photos and will post those once I can get the courage to show my fat body to everyone. I will take pictures once a week on Sunday morning. hopefully I can show some improvement by week 4. My goals are to lose 25 lbs, gain muscle, and look better in a swim suit before I am through with this. I will make this a daily update of my progress to help track what I am doing.

Day 1: just got aworkout in today, did lower body workout, my legs are a little sore but I could have done better. I didnt really understand the program, but now I got it and will hit the weights harder next time.

Day 2: Have a 20 minute high point cardio workout to do today, basically that is starting out at a level 5 intensity run for 2 mins, then increase to lvl 6 intinsity for 1 min, then to lvl 7, 8, 9 back to 6....I will continue this pattern 3 times, between the 18th and 19th minute I will try to go from lvl 9 intinsity to a lvl 10 intinsity and hold it for 1 min. This explains the cardio in a nutshell, I am anxious to try this to find out what my threshold is. I hope to be able to run in the Peachtree road race by the time this is over

Meal 2: Meal replacement Bar (MRB) hopefully I can find somthign to replace the replacement bar...they are $$$ so would that be MRBRM? and of course water
Meal 3: Turkey sandwich, apple, and water

Meal 5: Spicy Steak, small sweet potato, broccoli (sp?) and water
Meal 6: Mixed nuts (6-8 nuts) water

Say goodbye to diet coke during the week, Sunday will be my free day and I will consume my diet coke then,the sweet necter of the Gods.

WELL WELL WELL

Looks like it has been about 4 months since I last made an entry.. Call me lazy, half the time I am looking for something to do. Anyway, Got some fun home improvemnt projects to work on over the coming months. Going paint the kitchen and dining room (we finally bought furniture of the dining room) also remodeling the master bathroom. The first 2 I can handle, the second..I will try to handle but I am sure I wll call someone in halfway through it to finish my not so handy work. I will make it a goal to do at least one entry per day, Even if no one reads this.
